The Good....As always Ibanez puts out a great product and this guitar is no exception The Wine red stain is beautiful and makes the Poplar Burl top stand out, the DiMarzio Tone Zone bridge pickup is tone monster perfect for chugging out heavy palm mute riffs while the DiMarzio Air Norton neck pickup is the perfect match for solos and with these two pickup together along with The dyna-MIX 10 switching system give you plenty of different sound veneration's wither clean or distorted, not to mention this is a neck through so it has sustain for days. The Ebony fretboard with Acrylic & Abalone block inlays make a beautiful contrast and the Wizard III 7pc Maple/Walnut neck is thin and fast just like any other wizard neck I've played on (I have an RG560, RG570 and a Jem JR to go along with this one)The Bad...When I ordered this guitar from zZounds it was a scratch and dent return. Apparently who ever bought it dropped it within the 45 day return and zZounds had to take it back. I got on the website and asked the C.S.R. over I.M. if he knew how bad the damage was. He said "they didn't know because they don't re-open the guitars once they get them back. This is not complainant more of a suggestion that maybe zZounds should open returns to check the damage because not only was the damage minimal but the guy who returned the guitar also "forgot" to return the Ibanez tool that comes with the guitar. I'm not really mad about it but it would be nice if zZounds would look at returns before thy read more restock them and note the damage or whats missing so the customer is more informed before thy buy the product. The Ugly...When I received this little lady I found the dent right away and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but the more I looked and the more I played around I realized the previous owner changed something on the guitar. It took me a minuet but once I realized he changed the strings from 10s to 8s and didn't set the guitar up, so it made since why the strings where buzzing allover the neck, and he must have left the guitar out in a dry climate because this is the first Ibanez that i ever had that had fret sprout. Not a big deal just needed my dressing file and some polishing pads to fix it up. What have I learned...As much as I love buying from zZounds they need to change there restocking policy and note any damage or whats missing before they try to resell a product. This is not saying that wont ever use zZounds again I'm a long time customer and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy music gear. I will say though that for buying scratch and dent products I won't do it again.
